• Is Apologia’s high school curriculum suitable for college preparation?

• Is Apologia’s high school curriculum accredited?

  While Apologia itself is not an accrediting body, its curriculum is widely respected and used in accredited programs. Parents can issue transcripts and assign high school credit based on course completion and grades.

• Can high school students interact with teachers in Apologia’s live classes?

  Yes! In Apologia’s live online classes, students are taught by qualified instructors who provide lectures, grade assignments, and offer support throughout the course.

• Are Apologia high school courses considered AP?

  Apologia textbooks are not certified as AP, although they are considered college-prep-level courses.

  However, many of our students have written to let us know that they have used our textbooks to successfully pass AP and CLEP exams. We also recommend that students preparing to take these tests purchase study guides and practice tests from authorized AP or CLEP providers. This will allow the student and parent to better prepare and see what is covered on the tests.

• Can Apologia curriculum be used in a co-op or group setting?

  Absolutely! Many homeschool co-ops and groups use Apologia’s curriculum for collaborative learning. The hands-on experiments and discussion prompts work well in group environments.
